   Description   ASIAN-PACIFIC ISLANDER DIASPORIC POLITICAL
THEOLOGY IN THE CONTEXT OF EMPIRE BUILDING. This
course enters the Asian-Pacific Islanders' search
for a transformative theo-political discourse
through the theology of struggle (a Filipino
theology). From this entry point, it pursues,
explores, and seeks to articulate the main tenets,
practices and shape of APIs political theology
through the lens of diasporic, post-colonial, race
and ethnic discourse in the context of the global
market and US imperial project. This course will
include lecture and discussion and be open to GTU
students for credit, pastors and lay leaders for
CEU and for all community participants to
participate in the course as we create a rich and
mixed-learning community. This course is being
offered as part of the Civil Liberty and Faith
project of the PANA Institute. The class meets
weekdays, 1/07/08-1/18/08, from 5:00pm-9:00pm in
MUDD 103.
